Sadly, I came home from New York to a broken filtration system in my aquarium and two deceased fish. It appears the motor in my Penguin 100 Bio Wheel overheated and fried, which was not-so-good for those living in the aquarium.
Since I had to buy a new filter, I also took the time to hook up the aeration system, buy a new fluorescent light (which is really only for display purposes, since all my plants are fake - one day I’ll get real ones!), clean the lime buildup off the various devices in the tank, and clean the glass and stand.
It’s looking great now, and I’m pretty sure my fish couldn’t be happier!
Currently inside the tank you can find…
- Two Danios
- Four Neon Tetras (prior to the filter breaking, there were 6)
- One Algae Eater
I’m planning on getting a few more next week - I’m just not sure what type yet!
